Biography
Samuel Cardenas serves as the academic advisor and internship coordinator for the IT and Cybersecurity programs, as well as other programs in the School of Technology. He earned a Master’s of Education in Instructional Technology and Learning Sciences from USU and a B.S. in Secondary Education from UVU. His work experience includes secondary education, academic advising, and teaching as adjunct in a university. Samuel began his position in the School of Technology's academic advisor and internship coordinator in 2019.
He enjoys reading, biking, camping, cooking, music, and playing his bass. Sam grew up in the small agricultural town of Gridley in northern California. He now lives in Springville with his wife Rachel, who is from Gilbert, Arizona. They met here on campus in a BYU singles ward and have been happily married since 2004. Together, they have five children, two daughters three sons.
